An important landmark of recent Buenos Aires urban renewal, the pedestrian "Bridge of the Woman" (160 meter long), by famous Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, was inaugurated in 2000, in Puerto Madero, a modern district built in the former docks of the beautiful Argentine capital.
